It can be overwhelming to think about just how big the world we live in actually is. God reassures us in the book of Psalm that He knows each and every one of us by name. He knows our hearts, our dreams, our needs, and He knows just how to meet us where we are.
Often we find ourselves in a season of uncertainty and searching for answers to our future. When we set our eyes on God, even when the future may be unknown, He fills our hearts with His joy and peace.
Seasons of life change just like the seasons of weather here on Earth. Ecclesiastes 3 says there is a time for different things to happen in each our lives, even the hard times. No matter what season of life we're in, we must trust in the Lord's promises and remember that His timing is perfect.
With sunshine and warm weather come road trips and vacations among many other things. Often times we get so caught up in the fun summer brings that we forget to reflect on the freedom summer can signify. While we can find things on this earth freeing, we can only find true freedom in Christ.
God has given each of us spiritual gifts, whether we know it or not. It's important for us to learn to identify what those gifts are so we can use them the way God intended! Our gifts are given to us in order to fully love God, love others, and serve.
This earth-shattering news broke me. I cried out to God for answers and felt no immediate response. In this time of waiting, the Lord was shaping me. He brought me to my knees and filled my heart with hope and a peace unlike anything I had experienced. About a month ago, when I received the worst news yet, God strategically placed me among two friends who lovingly lifted me up and reminded me of the Lord’s purpose.
While you’re in the waiting season, remember that God is working. When He tells you “no,” stand firm in knowing that His promises will be fulfilled, in His way and in His timing. Hebrews 10:36 tells us to “persevere so that when we have done the will of God, we will receive what He has promised.”
Seeking God's vision for our lives is not only important, it's what he desires for his sons and daughters. Sometimes as we seek to carry out His vision, we find ourselves getting lost in the process. As we learn to plant our roots and build a firm foundation in Christ, He will give us the tools necessary to carry out His vision for our lives.
